Delicious white from Valencia. Las Blancas is a multi-grape blend of Macabeo, Malvasia, Marisancho, Merseguera and Moscatel -they all start with M!, and the name simply means "the whites." It has 13% alcohol and good acidity, as they are looking for a wine that goes with food. Half of the wine matured in 500 litre French oak barrels, and the rest was kept in stainless steel with bātonnage for six months. Textural, yet fresh, citrus and stone fruit with a touch of. spice. Grapey and quite floral but with depth. The 2019 is a good follow up maybe a touch more colour, and maybe a touch more fruit. Lots of character.
