Marques de Murietta Rioja Reserva, 2004Spain Red Rioja 75cl A famous old name in Rioja, that finally appears to be making some worthy wines. From the outstanding 2004 vintage. Spicy, cedary nose with baked fruits, meat and dried herbs. It's got some lovely sweet, almost meaty fruit, it's not really primary youthful fruit, more of a baked fruit character, with vanillan oak, spice, herbs and cedar. Quite juicy with good acidity, it's certainly opened up in the glass well. It's still a fairly traditional style with decent fruit. Could aged well over the nexr 5 years.
