Nostros Reserva
Pinot Noir, 2007
Chile Red
Casablanca Valley 75cl
A while back I tried and enjoyed the Sauvignon from this producer and although it's not made the shelf (fighting for space with Falernia which is better and cheaper)
the wine was good. I tried the Pinot over two days first at room temp. and today from the fridge. On day one the nose was very herbal and the wine showed off sweet fruits and acidity but seemed a little clumsy. Today the nose has changed and If you had given me this blind I would have said you had put a blueberry muffin in my glass ! sweet red/blue fruit on the palate and just the right amount of acidity, tannin and grip.I would be more than happy to retail this as price is rumoured to be sub £8 and advice would be to serve cellar temp or colder. I might have more reticence in offering this to restaurants as it's immediate appeal was not as impressive.
Would be interseting to get another couple of bottles and try from room and fridge temp. over 24 hours to see how development varied
