Château L’Ermitage Cuvée Sainte-Cécile Blanc
A long term NYW favourite. 70% Roussanne, 20% Viognier, 10% Grenache Blanc aged in new French oak for 3 months.
Aromas of wet stones, fresh almonds and a floral, orange blossom note, hint of oak too. The Viognier and Grenache Blanc add a subtle richness of peach and ripe nectarine flavours to balance the fresh grapefruit and citrus characters from the Roussanne, with a touch of mineral complexity and subtle oak weight. This is quite substantial whilst remaining fresh and very well balanced.
Good length and this is a versatile food wine, think risotto, rich creamy fish dishes, white meats and the like.
