A hot and dry vintage that was saved by some rain in early September by the sounds of things. It's a nice 'halfway house' in-between a new world expression of Shiraz and a classic French Rhone style. Dark in the glass with red fruits and just hints of black pepper spice on the nose, the palate is quite plush but not overly 'beefy' with bramble and spice but it's an unoaked style so retains some bright red fruit flavours too. Excellent mid-week glugger
