Wine Note

Dandelion Vineyards 'Wonderland of the Eden Valley'

Dandelion Vineyards, buy in their grapes from very specific vineyards. The team have bags of industry experience and they are making great booze, all marketed by the talented Zar Brooks, ex Wirra Wirra and most famously d'Arenberg.
More later, but to this wine. From a really old vineyard in the Eden Valley, planted in 1912. Picked in the cool morning, destemmed, then pressed. The free run juice was fermented in small stainless steel tanks. Bottled unfiltered and unfined. 11.5% alcohol, and dry, beautifully aromatic nose with grapefruit, lime, ripe apple, really quite steely. It's really tight and dry, minerally too with ripe apple, lime, and a touch of spice on the palate. Clean and zesty with a lovely limey mouthfilling, minerally finish and a real crispness. Will age for years though very tasty now. NY
