Wine Note

Yering Station 'Village' Yarra Valley

"Light crimson; marries red cherry and plum fruit with a cat's cradle of supporting tannins that are fine and balanced; it's a step up to the Reserve, but this wine is excellent value." Rating: 94 Points James Halliday Wine Companion
"Spice, red and black cherry and a light frame of cedar/vanilla oak with smoky highlights. It’s medium weight with gentle fine grained tannin, attractive fruit sweetness married to sappy complexity and a crisp finish of good length. At the price it’s a strong contender for the title of best affordable ‘go to’ Pinot Noir." 94 pts, The Wine Front

This 2010 is absolutely delicious. Selected parcels are aged in new and used French oak barriques.
It's really perfumed, with raspberry, strawberry, mulberry, plum and spice with some toasty oak notes too.
Medium bodied with lovely sweet varietal fruit, raspberry and black cherry fruit bursting out the glass, with spice, toasty oak and good acidity, long finish too. It's everything you want a mid priced new world Pinot to be, i love it!! Drink now and over the next 5 years.
