Donnafugata 'Polena'

The new vintage of this colourfully packaged white that is a blend of the indigenous Catarratto & more widely planted Viognier.
It's a most successful blend as the combination of the crisp and fresher Catarratto marries very well with the broader and more unctuous Viognier. Quite aromatic, though not too heady/perfumed, the palate is a mixture of the fresh and rich at the same time, with apricots, a dash of mango, some sweet spices too with good length. Tangy and fresh with lovely limey acidity on the finish.
