Raul Perez Bierzo 'Ultreia St.Jacques'

A superb wine from the master of the Mencia grape Raul Perez. Wild strawberry, meat, spice on a perfumed nose. Ripe red and black berry fruit, and slightly bitter sweet on the palate, meaty with red berry fruits, it's quite savoury and also quite silky with ripe tannins and quality oak. Really interesting gamey, bitter sweet wine that could age very well, if drinking now then pair with some new season lamb.
