San Antonio 75cl
From the San Antonio DO the grapes were handpicked over a week in early May from cool vineyard sites. Cold macerated for 7 days before fermentation.
After prmary fernentation the wine was racked into Frenck oak for malolactic fermention, aging in barrel was 12 months.
Really deep, opaque colour. Really quite meaty, savoury and dense on the nose with some black berry and spice.
It's really quite a big wine and i think very young at this stage. It has spicy savoury black fruits with spice, liquorice and pepper, some toasty oak with present but ripr tannins. Quite unyielding, but with massive potential. Everything in place, but just a little young and tannic at present and not at all your typical Chilean red! Definitely not a show wine!
