A really perfumed wine with rose hip, raspberry and cherry, hints of chocolate. Made from the local Frappato grape. Really bright and crunchy, raspberry to the fore with good acidity. It's the wonderful, pure, vibrant raspberry fruit that is the main attraction here. A really distinctive attractive wine, bursting with varietal fruit. Best served cellar cool. Works brilliantly with dishes that include tomato, so often difficult with reds, the tannins are really soft and the fruit so prominent, this has more energy and life than the 2010.
