Tthe new vintage of this colourfully packaged white that is a blend of the indigenous Catarratto & more widely planted Viognier.
It's a most successful blend as the combination of the crisp and fresher Catarratto marries very well with the broader and more unctuous Viognier. Quite aromatic, though not too heady/perfumed, the palate is a mixture of the fresh and rich at the same time, with apricots, a dash of mango, some sweet spices too with good length. Tangy and fresh with lovely limey acidity on the finish. Apparently, as per the back label, it's "fresh and wrapping"...lost in translation I hope.
