We have been selling this great value Cotes du Rhone for a few years. It's clearly been successful as it has quickly moved from 2010 to 2011. Thankfully the 2011 may be more approachable. From 30-40 year old vines, 60% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 10% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah.
Bright raspberry and plum with white pepper and spice on an inviting nose. Dense and full bodied with rich red and black berry fruits, spice, white and black pepper with a hint of chocolate. Juicy and already quite delicious and was great with some top quality burgers tonight. Will happily age a while but is really very attractive.
