John Belsham is one of New Zealand’s most highly regarded wine makers, and he’s the man behind Marlborough producer Foxes Island.
Classy looking pinot in the glass with the first flush of age just showing in the rim. Terrific on the nose with damson, strawb, cherry and a little bit of oak too. The palate is full and rich but really fresh with bright red cherry/berry fruits. That lick of oak sits nicely on the finish and works really well with the bright fruits.
Excellent, Pinot . Stunning to think this is a 'second wine' behind Foxes Island
