Greywacke
Pinot Gris, 2010
New Zealand White
Marlborough 75cl
This is the first Greywacke Pinot Gris we have tasted and it's another delicious wine. From a single vineyard in the Brancott Valley. Lovely perfumed nose with stone and tropical fruits and some typical Pinot Gris spice. Off-dry and really rich, mango, nectarine, pink grapefruit and musk spice on a full flavoured palate, tangy and weighty with decent acidity on the finish. Bursting with flavour, it's an exotic style of Pinot Gris that would work well with highly flavoured fish and white meat dishes, some cheeses most likely, and lightly spiced asian dishes. Delicious!
