From the master, Pieropan. I have been selling his wines since i started in 1991.
This is a fabulous wine, it's a later selection of the best really quite ripe Garganega grapes from a hilside vineyard and sees some oak aging albeit in a variety of sizes and ages to add complexity. I think for the third year in the row it's a Trophy winner, a great achievment.
Stone fruits on the nose with a hint of nutty oak, It's tangy and rich on the palate with honeyed stone fruits and lovely nutty oak, given great definition by really zesty limey acidity. Classy wine for sure and would make a great food wine think creany risotto with seafood!
