Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Louis Jadot
France Burgundy White
This is a blend of premier cru's. Lots of citrus on the nose with just a touch of nutty oak, hints of stone fruits too. It's tangy and fresh, really young and zesty with bright citrus, apple and raspberry fruits. Crisp acidity, some nutty oak on a minerally finish. It needs time to flesh out, not sure there is quite enough fruit to become really expansive, but if you like crisp, minerally white Burgundy then this is for you. As it warms up it's becoming more expressive, actually quite tasty, but still not sure about long term aging.
