Clonakilla makes great Shiraz in Canberra, this is there cheaper offering. It's become a real NYW favourite with customers and staff alike over the years. The fruit comes from three vineyards in Young on the South Western slopes of New South Wales. Deep colour, lovely ripe black berry fruits and black pepper on a juicy inviting nose. It's packed full of ripe berry and plum with meaty characters, black pepper and spice and a lick of oak too. As ever this wine has a nod to the Northern Rhone wines of Cornas and Crozes Hermitage, but has its own unique qualities. Said it before but this may be the best Hilltops yet, drink over the next 5 years.
