A beautiful fresh rosé from the fabulous Domaine des Escaravailles. All their wines when tasted in tthe Rhone last week were stunning. Fabulous 2007 reds, superb rosé and great white. This is a blend of 40% Cinsault, 25% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 15% Carignan. It's a lovely bright delicate pink colour. Aromatic and perfumed with bright red fruits to the fore, hints of peach too. It's crisp and fresh, not too dry, which allows the red berry fruits to come the fore. Juicy and bright with good acidity. It's got plenty of flavour, but is not too full a style. A lovely aperitif, would be good with lightly spiced foods, and salads.
