It's been a while since we had any Colomé wines to try and I was looking forward to this. It was quite pale in the glass for this usually golden varietal but has that lovely exotic aroma of flower petal and spiced pear. Fresher on the palate than most Torrontes and not quite as viscous (which was refreshingly pleasant) but shows off plenty of exotic fruits and a honeyed character that ends with a fresh citrus twang though. Far and away the best Torrontes I have tasted.
Not tasting like wine blended with handsoap is always a plus for Torrontes !
