This is another of the smartly packaged and cricket themed wines from Jim Barry. Thankfully this is alot better than the fairly poor 'Silly mid on' and is nice and varietal with plenty of ripe cassis fruit and a warming but not noticeable 15% alc. It is not overly sweet or suffering from any boiled sweet character instead has black fruit and oak nicely integrated.
Sure to be popular from this consistent producer ( of reds ! )
