Cuilleron is better known for his Condrieu and Northern Rhone reds. This is his Vin de Pays. It gives a great insight to the quality of the 2004 vintage. This is really good. Smoky bacon, meat, and some black pepper on the nose. It's fullof ripe plum and chery fruit, lots of spice and black pepper too. Has a lovely sweetness too It's obviously very young, but there is great fruit here. Has a touch of Cote Rotie violet about it too. Dense and crunchy with lots of black fruit and a touch of olive too. It also has a little creamy oak on the finish. An excellent preview if you like for the heavy hitters of the Northern Rhone.
