Abadia Retuerta make some really good wines from this region just outside of Ribera del Duero. This is a blend of Tempanillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It's made in a way to emphasise it's upfront fruit. Carbonic maceration is employed to get ripe juicy fruit witout too much tannin. They recommend serving it cool, 13-15c. Lovely bright cherry and plum on the nose. Really pure vibrant fruit. On the palate it is crunchy and vibrant and really appealing. Lovely red fruits with soft tannins and good acidity. A really appealing glugger.
