Weingut Sybille Kuntz
Riesling 'Gold-Quadrant', 2003
Germany
Mosel-Saar-Ruwer 75cl
A trocken style from the Mosel, i have not encountered many of these before. 13% alcohol. Steely yet peachy on the nose with citrus and honey. It's fresh and dry with a big mouthful of peach and lime fruit. It's crisp quite steely and minerally. Dry bright and with good fruit. It's nevertheless a slightly more angular wine than say the Georg Breuer wines from Rheingau which are dry too, but have less tightness and more texture. It's good but still just a little hard work.
