Kistler 'Kistler Vineyard'

I love Kistler Chardonnay's, this is the first 2002 i have tasted. Unfiltered and certainly has a haze. Powerful rich nose, with spicy fruit and toasty oak. It's a big rich Chardonnay with some viscosity. It's really dry and quite young at this stage. Typical viscous palate with some honeyed stone fruit and integrated French oak. Long and spicy. It needs time to open up and develop the Kistler trademark texture and length. Shows some potential but i am not sure this will hit the heights of other Kistler vintages.
