Mt. Difficulty
Pinot Gris, 2005
New Zealand White
Central Otago 75cl
2005 was very low yielding and this has resulted in a realy concentrated Pinot Gris. Coming from their Bannockburn vineyards. Hand harvested between the 14th and 26th April. Handled in a reductive manner. Cold fermented and left on gross lees for 3 months. It has a fabulous lifted zesty nose lime, ripe grapefruit and honeyed nectarine fruit. It's absolutely bursting with tangy fruit. Concentrated stone fruits, lime and grapefruit. It's crisp yet with plenty of weight. Good acidity keeps it really clean and fresh. Really appealing with a rich mid palate. Stunning wine.
