It is not often i taste 200+ plus Australian wines and one of my top 10 is a Sauvignon Blanc! But that was exactly the case with this delicious wine from Barratt. Coming from high altitude cool-climate vineyards. Has a lovely tangy vibrant nose with citrus, pea, passion fruit, grapefruit and a touch of grass. It's crisp with lovely pea and citrus on the palate, again passion fruit and a grassy herbaceousness. It's quite broad and full- flavoured, really clean with great depth. A huge weight of fruit, but still dry and elegant. Really classy Australian Sauvignon.
