Vigne-Lourac Vin de Pays des Cotes de Tharn
Sauvignon 'Prestige', 2003
The follow up to the excellent 2002. Comes with new livery..........hmmh.
Apparently the back label tells us 'Expertise at the service of age-old experience'. Crap.... Nevertheless this is a good follow-up to the 2002. A fresher crisper style compared to the Les Yeuses reviewed previously. Lifted citrus and gooseberry on the nose. It's a lighter style that is crisp green and zingy and very refreshing and when being poured down in a bar or restaurant you may not notice the ever so slight dilute feel on the mid-palate. All in all good stuff at around £5.50
