Cracked open last Sunday (9/11/03), this was outstanding; rich and perfumed, with violets, plums, cassis, and smoky oak in the background, the palate was still quite dense - plenty of plump damson, red and black fruits, spice, mocha, and chocolate notes combined with delicious creamy oak all combined with a superb long and textured finish. This still has some years ahead of it, but it was very moreish on Sunday for certain. 91pts
