This is a new Merlot from well renowned Merlot specialist Jim Irvine. Bottled with a scew-cap. A non specific regional blend. Quite rich and plummy on the nose, a touch vegetal with hints of mocha and oak. It's full of vibrant red fruits; very juicy and soft. It's upfront round and creamy and is a very friendly style of Merlot. Not especially complex but really does it's job. Price to follow but if under £8 a worthy wine.
