Tin Shed 'Three Vines'
Mourvedre, Shiraz, Grenache, 2001
Not Specified
Australia, Barossa Valley 75cl
An interesting wine this from the new Tin Shed winery in the Barossa. Ripe cherry on the nose, with a touch of clove and other spices plus some oak. High toned cherry and raspberry on the palate. Full of ripe fresh fruit-perhaps too fresh, it has a citric acidic feel. Medium bodied, it was great with barbecued food but on its own seems quite simple and juicy with quite a short finish. Pretty in its own way but lacking richness. Nice fruit, but not enough complexity.
