Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes Vincent Girardin
France Burgundy White
sample; I'm not remotely surprised by how much I enjoyed this - not only from a great negociant (who controls the vast majority of the plots that his fruit comes from) but also from the superlative 2014 vintage. Ripe and nutty and inviting on the nose, the palate is delightfully balanced with extract of fruit and enough firm acidity - it won't be a wine to age for more than a handful of years at most but there is a lovely completeness to the wine already.
