Galician wines are really becoming popular, firstly the Albarino's from Rias Baixas and now we are seeing wines from the neighbouring DO of Ribeiro.
This is made from the Treixadura grape variety and it has quite a deep colour for an unoaked wine.
Stone fruits and citrus on the nose with delicate spice. It's tangy and fresh, ripe stone fruits with a hint of mango and pineapple with lemon citrus too, quite deep both in texture and body, it's really zesty with good acidity- very appealing and with it's extra body would make a very versatile food wine. I would suggest drinking whilst fresh over the next 18 months.
