This wine has been a mainstay of our range since the first release over a decade ago. Sadly this 2009 is not of the same quality, of what has been a hugely consistent wine over the years.
Bramble fruits on the nose. It's bright enough with juicy red berry fruits but lacks the fruit intensity and verve of previous years. A touch of oak rounds the wine out, it's certainly still a very decent wine, but just not what it has been. I don't know much about the vintage, and wether that's had an effect, but it's just not as good as it has been.
