From the former chief winemaker of Dao Sul- Carlos Lucas who has left and set up Magnum Wines, with a similar principal- making wines from a number of regions around Portugal.
This white Dao is made from Malvasia Fina and Encruzado.
White peach and citrus on a perfumed nose. Fresh and zesty with good deoth of fruit, peach, plum and some ripe melon and citrus, oak is not mentioned on the back label but it must have had a short dip, with some delicate coconut and vanilla notes. It's a really interesting wine with lot of flavours going on. Good and at under £10 is a decent buy.
