Sauvignon Blanc, 2011
Sudsteiermark (South Styria) 75cl
Good to try the Tement wines again this week, long the flagbearers for Styria. This is the wineries regular Sauvignon Blanc known as Steirische Klassik.
Perfumed nose, quite herbaceous with citrus and hints of tropical fruits. It's just off-dry, really crisp and clean, tangy with herbaceous characters, a touch of pea and asparagus with peach and citrus fruit. Really zesty and not being bone dry makes it really appealing. It's very high quality but would sell for the price of a Sancerre which makes it difficult. Very good wine though.
