Casa Madero
Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Tempranillo, 2010
Not Specified
Mexico 75cl
An attractively packaged wine from Mexico.
Made with the help from the guys at Litmus (John Worontschak is the consultant winemaker). Bright red fruits with some christmas cake like notes, but still fresh. Ity's juicy enough and bright but ultimately a little bit lacking in palate weight and complexity. I like the fruit but it has a slightly bitter tannic finish and is slightly reductive. Don't get me wrong this is a really good effort, but not cheap and ultimately, for me, not good enough.
