Mont Rocher IGP Pays de l'Herault
Carignan Vieilles Vignes, 2011
France Provence & Regional Red
Pays D'Herault IGP 75cl
Very clever stuff again from this producer.
Pretty much a continuation of a the previous two vintages. It remains soft, sweet fruited and relatively low in alcohol (12.5%) and that is hard to achieve and an excellent formula for an 'every day' drinking wine.
It's bright and attractive on the nose, sweet red fruited on the palate and soft and silky on the finish.
Nonsense on the back label says concentrated and brooding demanding a daube of beef, utter tripe, you could drink this by itself no problem. Uncomplicated and enjoyable
