This comes from Saint Clair's Rapaura vineyard. I am not normally a massive Merlot fan but really like this. Plum, cherry, tobacco, spice and a touch of oak on an appealing nose. It's dense and bright with lovely plum and cherry fruit, dusty tannins, spice and some nicely integrated oak, even a touch of cedar. Juicy and really appealing, quality Merlot for drinking now and over the next 3-5 years.
