I am not sure i have tasted the Pinot Gris from Nautilus before, on the evidence of this it has been most remiss of me! This was one of only 7 wines to win a Gold Medal in the Pinot Gris section of the prestigious Air New Zealand Wine Awards 2011. It's a lovely aromatic, fairly dry style. Classic stone fruits, ripe pear and red apple with gentle spice and citrus on an appealing nose. Weighty and full with again ripe stone fruits and ripe apple with tangy citrus and a long finish showing classic spice. Tangy and fresh it's really delicious and sure to make a hugely versatile food wine.
