Clare Valley/McLaren Vale 75cl
I am not really a fan of multi regional wines, but i have to say this does it very well.
From the excellent 2009 vintage. Deep in colour, dense brambly fruits on the nose with a touch of oak and mint. Really rich and inviting on the palate, soft tannins and a wealth of berry fruit, creamy oak, a touch of mint too, you can really see the components the two regions, the berry fruits of McLaren Vale and the more savoury characters and mint of the Clare. It's a very inviting Shiraz and although quite voluptuous now will certainly age, but i would drink over the next 2-3 years to enjoy the lovely plush fruit.
