Stepp & Gaul
Riesling 'Saumagen', 2010
Germany
Pfalz 75cl
This i believe is one of Stepp and Gaul's reserve Riesling's from the Saumagen cru, it's labeled on the back as Kallstadter Saumagen, not sure what this means exactly. Anyhow it's another top wine, much more extract to the wine than the Alte Reben Riesling. Lime, ripe apple and white peach on the nose, crisp and dry, really tangy and fresh with white peach, apple and ripe grapefruit, lovely zesty acidity and a long minerally finish. Really very attractive and whilst lovely now, sure to age very well.
