Barbera 'Le Verrane', 2009
An unfiltered organic Barbera that undergoes it's malolactic fermentation in the bottle...
Unsurprisingly it's a touch effervescent. Sour cherry and meat stock on the nose. Slightly spritzy yet very savoury, cherry and a hint of raisin with meat and high acidity, I am sure it would work well in situ with some fatty meats but just comes across as a bit odd. I quite like it but i don't want more than a glass!
