Crimson comes from Ata Rangi's younger vines, though these are now becoming quite mature. It's made as an upfront style of wine. The 2009 was a massively popular with our customers. Bright raspberry on the nose, with some plum and darker berry fruits too. It's young and frsh with lovely bright raspberry fruit, a touch less vibrant than the 2009 and also more savoury, though it;s very young and i am sure it will evolve. Tannins are soft and well judged oak is present too. I will taste again in a few months, however is still very good if not quite as polished as the 2009.
