Dandelion Vineyards 'Lionheart of the Barossa'
Shiraz, 2010
Australia Red
Barossa 75cl
From old vines, some 100 years old. Hand harvested in the last two weeks of March, open fermenred and aged in some new, but mostly older French oak barriques for 18 months.
Bright black cherry, plum and smoky oak notes on the nose.
Lots of sweet fruit, ripe tannins, hints of chocolate and liquorice, with olive, sweet fruit and oak on the finish. Really decent, well priced Barossa Shiraz from a great vintage.
