Rijks Private Cellar
Pinotage with a touch of oak, 2009
South Africa Red
Coastal Region Tulbagh 75cl
Terrible name, good wine. Rare to enjoy Pinotage, but this is good. Bright berry fruits on the nose, a hint of meat and vanillan oak. Really bright and juicy and totally pure, no smoke, bacon, iron, tyre etc. Lovely sweet berry fruits, spice, quite meaty with as the label says a touch of oak giving a creamy finish. Great with spicy lamb burgers tonight. A really plush, soft, juicy Pinotage that is genuinely really good! Bright and fresh, tasty...
