Gruner Veltliner 'Vienna Hills', 2010
2010 was another difficult and late vintage with very limited quantities produced. The good news that of the three 2010's i have tried, quality has been excellent. This is looking really good, pear drop, stone fruit, pepper and citrus zest on the nose, it's really young and quite primary at present. Slight spritz still, and lovely citrus and stone fruits, a real nectarine character to the fruit with good acidity. Th wine is really alive and bursting with tangy fresh fruit, really clean and very delicious. Another couple of months in bottle and this will be a really very good introduction Gruner for Fritz Wieninger.
