A first white from the excellent Legaris whose delicious Ribera del Duero wines we have sold for many years. This is a lovely fresh Rueda made from Verdejo, it's screwcapped and most tasty. I find a lot of Verdejo to be overly herbaceous and having a 'sweaty' character. This has lovely fresh citrus, green apple and white peach on the nose with hints of pineapple too and delicate herbaceous chracters. Crisp and fresh on the palate, ripe citrus with pineapple and white peach, it's zesty with good acidity. Really well made and whilst still in the 'Sauvignon Blanc' style of white wine it's rounder with riper fruit. Great value too.
