Decanter World Wine Awards Red Rhone Varietal Over £10 Trophy and International Trophy Winner. So our first wine from Israel and one that swept all before it at the Decanter World Wine Awards. It's very good and with a price to match. Long skin contact and aged 14 months in French oak barrels. Ripe plum and black cherry on the nose with a touch of raisin, spice, pepper and oak. It's full bodied and rich, quite savoury with a touch of fennel, dense fruits with black pepper and liquorice. Plush in texture it's amazingly high quality from Israel, blind i reckon i would have said top end Spanish. Sure to age well, and if a little expensive well worth a try and a great blind tasting wine. But ultimately it's really good in it's own right.
