Another! Paul Mas Top 100 PGI winner, and like the Marsanne reviewed recently, part of the single vineyard collection. From the Nicole vineyard, planted on hilly slopes, the vineyard is chalk and clay with fossils and enjoys a unique microclimate. This is a barrel sample. Spicy, meaty nose with black cherry, clove and herbs with a real brooding denseness. It's bright and young, almost bitter sweet with sweet black cherry and damson with hints of black olive and meat. Soft ripe finish with creamy integrated oak. It's a baby but is going to another great value offering. Really good.
